Here's some stuff I compiled on the Dickison and Dickinson familes.

Albert E Ruller married Lida Dickison.

Hi Mick: Thanks for the stuff on the Dickinson families. (How'd you turn off the Thingyinsons?) Grin

I notice that you've got some Dickinsons died in Fergus, Ontario and some born there.

Fergus is less than 3 miles from Elora, I frequently walk from Elora to Fergus and back for my daily exercise!

There are currently five, (5) Dickinson's listed in the Fergus phone book. Arthur, Frank, James, Marg & T.!! None listed in Elora.

In the phone book, eh?

Make sure that they don't have an "N" in their name.

Dickison.

There's lots around Walkerton, too, if the water hasn't got them yet  Embarrassed

I went to Infospace.com and emailed 54 Dickison people from across Canada.

Four replies so far. Nothing yet, besides the Dickison's from New Brunswick, who immigrated from Scotland.

The ones we're looking for came from Yorkshire.

Anyone have a line on an online index for the Yorkshire Charter? They have a copy at the U of A here in Edmotnon that I can get my hands on. There's abotu 1,000 volumes, so an index would be helpful.

I've got a reply from Brie-Anne Jefferson, who is a cousin of mine through the Dickison line.

She grew up in the NWT and now attends college in Calgary.

I sent her some info, so we'll see if I get any more in that tree.
